Some jobs do not call for a climber, they call for a bucket truck. Tall live oaks with wide, dense canopies over a home or driveway are often easier and safer to work from an aerial platform than from spikes and ropes.
Working from a bucket also protects the tree itself. Climbing spikes leave wounds in the bark that can invite pests and disease, something we avoid whenever the canopy allows for aerial access instead.
Not every yard has room for a full size truck to maneuver, so we assess access before recommending equipment, matching the right method to the property instead of using the same approach on every job.
