What Stump Grinding Actually Does (and Why It Matters)

Post Copy

After a tree comes down, the stump is more than an eyesore. Left in place, stumps can attract termites and wood-boring insects, continue producing sprout growth that draws energy from surrounding trees, and create a trip hazard that's hard to mow around.

Stump grinding takes it below ground level, so the area can be replanted, sodded, or simply cleared without the stump becoming a recurring problem. It's a faster, cleaner option than full root extraction for most residential jobs.

If you've got a stump you've been working around, we can typically handle it the same visit as a removal or schedule it as a standalone service.

How long have you been dealing with a stump in your yard?

Photo of a stump grinder in action or a before/after showing the stump site before grinding and the clean ground afterward. Before/after pairs are the highest-performing image format for tree service posts. Authentic San Antonio job photos strongly preferred.
