Oak wilt is one of the most serious threats to San Antonio's live oaks, and early detection is critical. The disease spreads quickly and can be fatal if not caught and treated early.
Signs to watch for: sudden leaf drop in spring, brown or reddish discoloration in the leaves, wilting that spreads rapidly from top to bottom, or bleeding canker (dark staining) on the trunk. If you notice these symptoms on any of your oaks, don't wait.
Our ISA-certified arborists have extensive experience identifying and treating oak wilt. Christian Taylor specializes in oak health assessments and early intervention. Early detection and professional treatment can save your tree. Have you had your oaks looked at by a professional in the last year?

Educational content showing the difference between healthy and affected oak leaves is powerful. If job photos showing treated trees are available, those are ideal.
