Stump Grinding Turns Leftover Stumps Into Usable Yard Space Across the Piedmont Triad

Post Copy

That stump left behind from an old removal is more than an eyesore. Around Kernersville, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro, we see stumps that have been mowed around for years, slowly sprouting suckers, drawing in carpenter ants and termites, and taking up space that could be lawn, a garden bed, or a patio.

Stump grinding takes the stump down below the soil line so the spot can be filled, seeded, or planted over. Our grinder chews through the wood and the main surface roots, and the chips can be raked back in as fill or hauled off, whichever you prefer. We check for irrigation lines and buried utilities before we start, so the work stays right where it belongs.

Fall is a smart time to get it done. Grind now and the area has all winter to settle, so it is ready for grass seed or a new planting bed by spring. Between our new customer discount and our no-credit-check financing, a project that has lingered for years can finally come off the list.

How long has that stump been sitting in your yard, and what would you put in its place?

Image / Media Suggestion

A real before/after pair from a Spartan job: a weathered stump in a residential lawn, then the same spot ground down and raked level with fresh soil or chips. An action shot of the stump grinder mid-cut also works well. Authentic job photos strongly preferred over stock.
