Summer watering for Metro Atlanta trees: deep and slow, not daily and shallow

Post Copy

Watering your tree wrong can stress it just as much as skipping it.

Young trees need consistent deep watering to establish. Mature trees want a long, slow soak at the drip line, not a daily sprinkle by the trunk. Frequent shallow watering keeps roots near the surface, and that is trouble in a Georgia drought.

Our new blog covers how much water your trees really need this summer, plus the warning signs of too little and too much.
