Atlanta's Summer Storms Don't Warn You — Your Trees Should

Post Copy

Late May through the end of summer in metro Atlanta brings some of the most active severe weather in the Southeast. Afternoon thunderstorms, microbursts, and the occasional tropical weather system can push significant wind loads through your trees with very little notice.

The good news is that trees give you advance warning if you know what to look for. Large sections of deadwood in the canopy are among the first things to break under wind load. Cracks or splits in major branch crotches, leaning trunks that have shifted over time, and roots that have visibly lifted or cracked the soil nearby are all signs a trained arborist would flag before a storm turns them into an emergency.

Southern Tree Pros has ISA-certified arborists and 24/7 emergency service available across the Atlanta metro. We'd rather you call us now for a free estimate than call us after 2 AM when a limb has already come down.

Visit southerntreepros.com or call (770) 841-1684 to request your free estimate.

Did the recent weather do anything to your trees, or are there spots in your yard you've been keeping an eye on heading into summer? #Atlanta #TreeCare #StormPrep

An authentic photo of storm damage — a large limb down on a property, a tree leaning after a wind event, or an arborist doing a post-storm assessment. Before/after of storm cleanup is effective. Real job photos from recent Metro Atlanta storm work are preferred over stock images.
