Every ISA Certified Arborist at STS Arborists earned that credential through the International Society of Arboriculture, and keeping it takes ongoing work.
To qualify, an arborist needs years of documented tree care experience or a related degree, then must pass a comprehensive exam covering tree biology, soil science, pruning, diagnosis, risk assessment, and safe work practices. Certification is not a one-time achievement: certified arborists earn continuing education credits and recertify every three years to keep it active.
That training is behind our approach of "We Don't Guess, We Assess," and it is why our recommendations come in clear written proposals. Property owners in Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, and Allegheny counties know what work is needed and why. It also means a second opinion from our team is grounded in the same standards used across the profession, not guesswork or a quick look from the curb.
