Many Somerset County families still heat with wood through the long Laurel Highlands winter, and STS Arborists is proud to support the Community Wood Bank.
Tree work produces a lot of good hardwood. Rather than treating it as waste, sound wood from our jobs can be put to use helping neighbors who rely on wood heat get through the cold months. The idea is simple: trees that come down in our community can help keep homes in our community warm, and nothing useful goes to waste.
We live here, we work here, and our families are part of the same neighborhoods we serve. Caring for local trees includes making sure the wood from them does some good once the work is done, and that sense of responsibility guides how our ISA Certified Arborists approach every property, from a single pruning job to a large removal.
As heating season begins, we are grateful to everyone who helps keep the wood bank going.
