Government contractors have compliance requirements that touch parts of the office most vendors don't think about, including how conference rooms and meeting spaces are set up for video and audio. A poorly secured A/V system can be an overlooked entry point into a network that's otherwise locked down tightly.
When we design A/V systems for contractors working toward CMMC compliance, we treat the conference room the same way we'd treat any other networked system: segmented appropriately, access-controlled, and built so that a video call platform or smart display isn't quietly creating a gap in an otherwise secure environment.
This matters more as hybrid meetings become standard practice. A secure meeting space needs to support outside participants and remote employees without exposing sensitive discussions or opening a path into internal systems.
