When a large oak or pine leans out over a house in Greer or Taylors, there is no room to drop it in one piece. Residential tree removal in those spots is done from the top down, with every section lowered to the ground on a rope instead of free-falling onto the roof.
Our climbers set rigging points high in the tree, then cut limbs and trunk sections into pieces the ground crew can control. Friction devices at the base let the crew lower heavy wood slowly, steering it past gutters, decks, and landscaping. Before any cutting starts, the whole team walks the job together so everyone knows where each piece is going.
It is slower than a simple fell, but that care is what keeps a removal from turning into a roof repair. When the work is finished, the wood is cut up or chipped, the yard is cleaned up, and stump grinding can follow if you want the space back.
Is there a tree hanging over your roof that has you watching the forecast every time the wind picks up?
