Heavy Snow Load on Branches Hanging Over Cabin Roofs Around Crosslake and Pequot Lakes

Post Copy

The first heavy, wet snow in the Brainerd Lakes area tends to find every weak branch hanging over a roof.

Early snowfalls often bring dense flakes that cling to branches, and white pine and spruce hold that weight. Limbs that seemed fine in summer can bend, crack, and drop onto cabins, decks, and vehicles, sometimes while owners are away.

The branches to watch hang directly over rooflines, chimneys, and power lines, along with any limb that already sags or shows a crack. Shortening or removing them now reduces the load before winter.

New Leaf Tree Service works on cabin and lake properties across Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, Breezy Point, and the rest of the lakes area. Clearing overhanging limbs is a simple way to close up the cabin with one less worry.
