What National Remodeling Spending Data Tells Local Homeowners

Post Copy

National housing research groups track remodeling spending every year, and the trend has been consistent: homeowners keep investing in their existing homes rather than moving. Kitchens, baths, and outdoor living spaces remain the most common projects nationwide, and Atlanta tracks closely with that pattern.

Part of the reason is practical. Moving costs have climbed, and many homeowners are realizing it's often more efficient to improve the home they already have. Part of it is also about lifestyle: people want their homes to work better for how they actually live day to day.

Whatever the reason, one thing stays true no matter how the market shifts: the outcome of a project depends heavily on who does the work. A well-planned remodel with a qualified professional holds its value; a rushed one with the wrong contractor rarely does.

Are you currently planning a project, or is one on your radar for down the road? We'd love to know what's on your list.
