One of the most consistent challenges the professional remodeling industry faces is workforce capacity, and part of the answer is expanding who sees the trades as a viable, rewarding career path.
NARI Atlanta's Women in Construction initiative is working on exactly that. The program connects women building careers in professional remodeling, whether in the trades, in design-build ownership, or in project management, to mentorship, peer networks, and professional development resources within our Atlanta chapter.
This isn't a token gesture. It's a structural investment in the industry's long-term health. The remodeling workforce pipeline doesn't fill itself, and chapters that actively recruit and support underrepresented talent are building something more durable than chapters that don't. We're proud of this program and the members who have made it a genuine part of NARI Atlanta's community.
Our latest article covers the initiative in depth. Link in the comments. If you're involved in mentoring or workforce development in the trades, we'd welcome your perspective on what's working.
