Material handling does not end at the saw. For many of our customers in Northwest Atlanta, the final step of every order is loading long bar, tube, or plate onto a pickup, ladder rack, or trailer, and that step carries real risk for drivers, equipment, and everyone else on the road.
At our Marietta location, the team treats loading as part of the order. That includes confirming the transport vehicle before cutting so lengths can be sized to fit where the project allows, securing bundles against shifting, positioning heavy plate low and forward, and marking long overhangs. When a load is not a good match for the vehicle, the team recommends job site delivery instead. Our bilingual counter team can walk customers through these steps in English or Spanish.
For contractors and maintenance departments, these habits reduce damaged material, lost time, and liability exposure. They also reflect a broader standard we hold ourselves to: an order is complete when the material arrives where it needs to be, in the condition it left our facility. It is a small investment of time that protects every customer who leaves our lot.
How does your organization handle transport for crews picking up stock: company vehicles only, delivery by default, or case by case?
