A mature oak in a Roanoke backyard had outgrown its space, with long limbs reaching over the lawn and into neighboring trees.
The tree was too large for ladder work to reach safely, so the Integrity Tree Service crew used a specialized lift to access the upper canopy and make deliberate cuts. Rather than topping the oak, the crew shortened outer limbs back to strong lateral branches, which helps prevent splitting during storms, and removed deadwood from the crown.
The focus was crown thinning and structural pruning for long-term health. Within a single day, the canopy was reshaped without losing the oak's natural form, and the property was left undamaged. Better airflow and less wind resistance now give the tree a sounder structure for the storms ahead.
With more than 40 years of family experience in the Roanoke Valley, Integrity Tree Service approaches every trimming job in Roanoke, Salem, Cave Spring, and Vinton with the goal of protecting both the tree and the property around it.
