The best tree care decisions happen when a homeowner understands the tree as well as the arborist does.
That is why education sits at the center of how Heart of Wood works. Before any pruning, removal, or treatment, we walk the property with you, point out what we see, and explain why we recommend one approach over another. If a tree simply needs time, we say so.
Sometimes that means suggesting less work than a client expected, like a structural prune instead of a removal, or a season of monitoring instead of treatment. We would rather you trust the reasoning than simply follow instructions. A client who understands the reasoning is better prepared to care for the tree for years to come.
As a small, independently owned company serving Northern Virginia and Washington DC for more than 20 years, our relationships last because clients know we listen and stay honest about what their trees need.
