Bagworm Inspections for Evergreens Throughout Gloucester County

Post Copy

Bagworms build small, cone-shaped cases out of silk and foliage that hang from arborvitae, cedar, and other evergreen branches throughout Gloucester County. They blend in so well that most homeowners do not notice them until real damage has already been done.

A heavy infestation can strip enough foliage to kill entire sections of an evergreen, since these trees do not regrow needles the way deciduous trees regrow leaves. Late summer is the easiest time to spot the bags, before the caterpillars finish feeding and overwinter with eggs inside.

Greg Smith Tree Service inspects evergreens throughout Franklinville, Sewell, Vineland, and the surrounding Gloucester County area for bagworm activity and other seasonal tree health issues.
