August in South Jersey means fast-moving thunderstorms, and thunderstorms mean downed limbs, split trunks, and trees leaning further than they were the day before. This is historically our busiest month for emergency calls.
Wind does not need to be severe to cause damage. A tree already weakened by drought stress or old damage can come down in a storm that barely rattles the windows, which is why we keep an estimator ready to respond within one to two hours for true emergencies.
