Weak Limb Union Inspections Ahead of Gloucester County Storm Season

Post Copy

Summer storm season means checking a tree for more than dead wood. Weak limb unions, where two branches grow at a tight angle with bark trapped between them, often fail first in high wind.

From the ground, a weak union can look like a healthy branch. It's not until wind loads the canopy that included bark gives way.

Catching that structural weak point before the next storm means it gets addressed on a calm day instead of during an emergency.
