Running a wholesale tree nursery alongside a service business means we sometimes end up with more stock on hand than a given project needs. Rather than let healthy young trees sit unused, we look for ways to put them where they'll do some good in the community.
That's meant partnering with local planting efforts around Bakersfield and Kern County when the timing lines up, putting trees into neighborhoods and public spaces that could use more canopy. It's a small piece of what community accountability actually looks like day to day, not just a line on a website.
Eighty years in the same community teaches you that the trees you plant today are what someone else's kids grow up under. That's not a small thing to us.
Are there any local planting or beautification efforts happening in your neighborhood right now? We're always glad to hear what's going on around Kern County.
