A Craft Learned From a Father Still Shapes How Every Franklin Tree Service Job Is Run

Post Copy

Franklin Tree Service did not start with a business plan. It started with a kid tagging along on tree jobs, learning the trade from his father, the same way his father had learned it before him. Three generations later, the lessons from those early days still shape how every job is run.

Some of those lessons are technical: how to read the way a limb will fall, how to rig a heavy piece so it lands exactly where it should, how to make a pruning cut the tree can actually heal from. Others are about character. Show up when you said you would. Answer questions the same day. Never hand a customer's property off to someone you have not trained yourself.

That last one is why we do not use subcontractors. The people who walk your property and talk through the plan are part of the same crew that does the work. It is a simple standard, and it comes straight from the way this trade was taught to us.

What is something a parent or grandparent taught you that you still do the same way today?
