Removing a tree is only half the job if the stump is still sitting there. Our stump grinding service takes the stump down below grade, so the spot can go back to lawn, garden bed, or even a new tree instead of staying a permanent obstacle for the mower.
How deep we grind depends on what comes next. Resodding or seeding needs the stump and surface roots taken down far enough that fresh topsoil can settle in evenly, while planting a new tree in the same area means grinding wider and deeper and clearing out the old wood chips so the new root ball has real soil to grow into.
Before we start, we talk through your plans for the space, mark any irrigation lines or landscape lighting nearby, and protect surrounding beds and hardscape. When we're finished, the grindings can be hauled away or left as mulch for other parts of the yard, whichever works best for you.
If you had one old stump on your property cleared out tomorrow, what would you put in its place?
