Most tree companies list "ISA Certified Arborist" and stop there. Franklin Tree Service also holds the ISA Tree Risk Assessor credential, a more specialized qualification that goes well beyond looking up at a canopy from the ground.
A real risk assessment involves checking the root flare for decay, probing the trunk for internal cavities, evaluating branch attachments for included bark, and weighing a tree's likelihood of failure against what it would actually hit if it came down.
That's a very different process than a quick drive-by opinion, and it's the difference between guessing and actually knowing whether a tree on your property needs attention now, later, or not at all.
Do you have a tree on your property that's had you wondering if it's still sound?
