Spring Removal Project: 60-Year-Old Oak Success Story

Post Copy

We recently worked on a challenging job in Belle Meade: a 60-year-old oak that had developed significant lean and weak co-dominant stems. The homeowner was concerned about safety for their family and their home, but also wanted to preserve as much of the canopy as possible.

After a professional assessment (and yes, our ISA Tree Risk Assessor was involved), we determined that cabling would not be reliable long-term. The safest solution was a carefully planned removal and a phased replanting strategy to maintain the property's green canopy.

The work involved precision cutting, crane-assisted lowering of large sections, and complete site restoration. End result: a safer property, a healthier landscape plan, and a very relieved homeowner. Every job is different, but the principle is always the same: safety first, quality execution, and clear communication.
