The most important tool on a tree job is not the saw, it is the walk-around that happens first.
During a consultation, one of our ISA-certified arborists looks at the whole tree: root flare, trunk, branch unions, canopy density, and signs of decay such as fungal conks. We also note what sits underneath, from roofs and driveways to fences and property lines. Soil moisture, nearby construction, and past pruning cuts all factor in, because a tree's history often explains what we see in its canopy today.
From there, we explain what we see in plain terms and lay out the options. Sometimes that means pruning or cabling, sometimes removal, and sometimes simply leaving a healthy tree alone.
Our founder started this business right out of high school, and nearly two decades later the approach has not changed: understand the tree first, then decide on the work.
