Replanting With Florida Natives After a Removal: Live Oak, Gumbo Limbo, and Sabal Palm

Post Copy

Losing a tree leaves a gap in the yard, and the right replacement can do more for your property than the tree that came down.

Florida natives like live oak, gumbo limbo, sabal palm, and pigeon plum are adapted to our sandy soils, heat, and storms, and once established they generally need less water and fertilizer than many imported ornamentals. Gumbo limbo and sabal palm have a reputation for holding up well in high winds.

Placement matters as much as species. A live oak needs room to spread, well away from the house, pool, and overhead lines, while a sabal palm fits tighter spaces near patios and driveways. Choosing the right spot now prevents the same root, roof, and power line conflicts that often lead to removals in the first place.

Tree replanting is part of our eco-friendly approach, helping properties from Tequesta to Lake Worth keep a healthy canopy for years to come.

Image / Media Suggestion

A real photo of a newly planted native tree (gumbo limbo, live oak, or sabal palm) on a client property, ideally where a removed tree once stood. Real replanting photos reinforce the eco-friendly brand better than stock.
