Grinding Surface Roots Along With the Stump Keeps Mowers and Sprinkler Lines Safe

Post Copy

Grinding the major surface roots along with the stump keeps a Houston yard level and safe for mowers after a large tree comes down.

Live oaks, water oaks, and pecans often spread thick surface roots several feet from the trunk, and in clay soils those roots sit right at the top of the lawn. Champions Tree Preservation follows the major surface roots out from the stump and grinds them below grade, working carefully around irrigation lines and sprinkler heads.

Grindings are used to fill the hole, or hauled away when new sod or a planting bed is planned. The family-owned company offers stump grinding across Houston, Klein, Spring, Tomball, and The Woodlands.
