Tree Preservation Options Homeowners Should Consider Before Removal Is the Answer

Post Copy

"Preservation" is in our name for a reason. Removal is sometimes genuinely the right call, a tree that's dead, hollow through the trunk, or too structurally compromised to safely support its own canopy shouldn't stay standing near a home. But it's the last option we reach for, not the first.

Before that conversation, there's usually a lot more room to work with than homeowners expect, cabling and bracing for structural weak points, deep root fertilization for nutrient-starved trees, targeted pruning to reduce weight on a leaning limb, or plant healthcare treatments for disease and pest pressure. Each of those can add years, sometimes decades, to a tree's life.

Houston's mature canopy took generations to grow. A tree that's stood through decades of storms deserves a real look before anyone reaches for a chainsaw.

Is there a tree on your property you'd genuinely hate to lose if there were another option?
