A tree with a split trunk union or a heavy leaning limb doesn't automatically need to come down. Cabling and bracing can support the weak point and let the tree keep growing safely for years longer.
Cabling installs a flexible steel cable high in the canopy to limit how far a weak union can spread under wind or weight. Bracing uses rigid rods to reinforce a split or cracked area lower on the trunk.
Both are common fixes for mature Houston trees that survived years of storms but developed structural weak points along the way.
As a preservation-first company, this is often where the conversation starts instead of removal.
