Designing a Spring Deck or Sunroom in the Fall Means It's Ready to Build When the Weather Turns

Post Copy

Most Metro Atlanta homeowners start thinking seriously about a new deck or sunroom on the first warm weekend of spring. By then, plenty of their neighbors have the same idea. Starting the design conversation in the fall gives you time to settle the big decisions before the spring rush.

This past summer is still fresh in your mind right now. You know where you wished you had shade, a roof overhead, more room for the table, or a break from the mosquitoes. Those observations are the best starting point for a design that fits how your family actually lives outside.

Composite or wood, a screened porch or a four-season sunroom, one level or two: each choice deserves some thought. Working through them with our team over the cooler months means your project is ready to schedule when the weather turns, instead of starting from scratch in March.

What's the one thing you wished your backyard had this past summer?

Image / Media Suggestion

A real Builders America photo of a finished deck or sunroom in fall light, or a design-consultation shot of plans and material samples on a table (no identifiable homeowners). A branded Canva graphic also works. Authentic project photos are always preferred over stock images. No Google Drive image folder is set up yet, so source from the Builders America portfolio (Projects page) or request a photo from the client. Confirm homeowner approval for photos of a private residence.
