There are people who never came home to their families, their front porches, their backyard gatherings. Memorial Day is set aside to honor them, and to remember that the everyday moments we take for granted were made possible by a sacrifice we can never fully repay.
To every service member and family carrying that loss today, we are grateful beyond words. The time spent with the people we love this weekend, the meals shared outside, the summers ahead, none of it is taken for granted here.
