One Side of the Canopy Dying, the Other Fine? That's Verticillium Wilt

Post Copy

A tree wilting on just one side while the rest looks healthy isn't random. It's often verticillium wilt, a soil fungus clogging the tree's water tissue from the inside.

Maples, redbuds, and smoke trees are especially prone to it across Atlanta. There's no cure once it's advanced, but catching it early slows the spread significantly.
