Plant Health Care Is Not the Same as Tree Removal — Here's Why It Matters More Than You Think

Post Copy

Most people call a tree company when something's wrong — a limb came down, a tree looks like it's dying, a storm left a mess. That's exactly the right call. But the tree companies that have a plant health care program are doing something different: they're working on trees before the crisis hits.

Plant health care is the ongoing, science-based management of tree and shrub health — soil conditions, root health, insect and disease pressure, structural pruning, fertilization. It's the difference between a landscape that reacts to problems and one that actively prevents them.

In metro Atlanta, that matters. The heat stress that builds through a Georgia summer, the compacted urban soils, the canopy pressure from construction and development — all of it takes a toll on trees that aren't being monitored. PHC clients see fewer emergency calls, longer-lived trees, and a landscape that stays healthier between visits.

Boutte Tree's PHC program is led by Tyler Baxter, an ISA Certified Arborist and GA Certified Pesticide Applicator. If you've wondered whether a health care approach to your landscape makes sense, that's worth a conversation with our team.

Do you have trees on your property that have been declining gradually, and you're not quite sure what's causing it? That's often a plant health care situation. Reach out now at bouttetree.com or (404) 799-5472.

Have you ever worked with a company on ongoing tree health management, or has it always been more reactive — only calling when something goes wrong? #Atlanta #TreeCare #PlantHealthCare

A photo of an arborist inspecting tree foliage or applying a soil treatment, or a close-up of tree bark, canopy, or root area showing a health issue being evaluated. An in-progress PHC application shot works well. Authentic Boutte Tree crew photos are always preferred over stock.
