A tree doesn't need to fall on your house to damage it. Limbs that press against a roofline for years can wear through shingles, trap moisture against the roof deck, and clog gutters with constant debris.
Branches rubbing against siding or a chimney cause similar slow damage that often isn't noticed until a repair bill shows up. Root systems can also lift walkways and driveways over time as a tree matures too close to hardscaping.
A trim to pull the canopy back a safe distance from the structure now is far cheaper than roof or foundation repair later. It's one of the most overlooked forms of home maintenance in older Englewood neighborhoods.
