Stump Grinding Finishes the Job Land Clearing and Removal Start

Post Copy

A tree removal isn't really finished until the stump is gone too, but it's the step a lot of homeowners in Snohomish and King County put off. A grinder chews the stump down below grade so it can be covered with soil, mulch, or sod instead of sitting there as a tripping hazard and a mowing headache.

We size the equipment to the stump, whether it's a single leftover from a backyard removal or a cluster from a larger clearing job. Grinding also stops a stump from sprouting new shoots around the base, which is a common surprise for homeowners who assume a cut tree is done growing.

It's a straightforward job, but it's the kind of detail that separates a fully finished yard from one that still has a reminder sitting in the middle of it. Most stump jobs wrap up the same day.

Do you have an old stump sitting in your yard from a removal that never quite got finished?
