A healthy tree growing in the wrong spot can often be transplanted rather than removed, and late fall dormancy is one of the best times to move it.
Transplant success depends on size, species, and timing. Younger, smaller trees move best because they keep a larger share of their roots in the root ball. Late fall, after the tree goes dormant but before the ground freezes, and early spring are the strongest windows, since the tree is not supporting leaves while new roots develop. Deep watering through the first seasons is key.
ArborSafe evaluates each tree, digs a root ball sized to the trunk, protects it during the move, and sets it at the correct depth in a suitable site, with aftercare guidance to help it establish. Trees too large to move successfully are identified up front. Serving Nampa, Caldwell, Meridian, Eagle, and Boise. #TreeTransplanting #TreeCare #TreasureValley #NampaIdaho
