Before a saw starts on any ArborSafe job, the whole crew gathers for a job briefing. It only takes a few minutes, but it's one of the most important parts of the day, and it's a big reason safety is the value our customers associate with us.
During that briefing, the crew walks through the plan out loud: who's climbing, how each piece will be cut and lowered, where the drop zone is, where power lines and service drops sit, and what's underneath that needs protecting. Everyone knows their role, the hand signals and voice commands for the day, and where to go if something changes. Then the drop zone gets marked off so customers, kids, and pets stay clear.
Industry safety standards call for a briefing like this, and our ISA Certified Arborists and Tree Workers treat it as non-negotiable, even on a small pruning job. A crew that plans together works smoothly, protects your property, and goes home safe at the end of the day.
Have you ever watched a tree crew at work and wondered how they keep everyone coordinated? #TreeSafety
