Thanksgiving Visits Are a Natural Time to Notice Small Changes in How a Parent Is Managing at Home

Post Copy

In a few weeks, many families will gather for Thanksgiving, and for a lot of adult children it will be the longest stretch they've spent in a parent's home in months. That extra time often brings small things into focus that phone calls don't reveal.

Our blog post on signs a loved one may need in-home help covers what to watch for: struggling to get up from a chair or manage the stairs, missed appointments or forgotten medications, and a home, meals, or grooming routine that's harder to keep up than it used to be. None of these means something is wrong on its own, but together they're worth a gentle conversation.

If you notice changes, you don't need all the answers right away. Our team is happy to talk through options with no pressure, and the full blog post is linked in the comments.

What's one thing you always check on, even quietly, when you visit a parent's home? #AgingInPlace #HomeCare
