Central Alabama has a second severe weather season that picks up in November and runs into December, and calm October days are a good time for Birmingham homeowners to get trees ready for it.
A few things are worth checking: limbs hanging over the roof, driveway, or bedrooms, trees that have begun to lean or show heaving soil at the base, and trees that have dropped a large limb in recent years. Saturated winter soil combined with strong wind is the combination that topples trees in Birmingham's red clay.
Planning while the weather is quiet is easier than reacting after a warning. ACE Tree Service has an ISA Certified Arborist on staff to sort out what needs attention now, what can wait, and what is perfectly fine. ACE is always open for emergency storm response across Birmingham, Hoover, Trussville, and the rest of Central Alabama, day or night.
