A structurally compromised tree doesn't always have to come down. Tree cabling and bracing can be the right answer when removal isn't.
Cabling is installed in trees with co-dominant stems, included bark, or heavy limbs overhanging structures. The cable limits dangerous movement in wind events and reduces stress at the weak attachment point. Bracing rods provide rigid support where cracks or splits already exist. Both methods follow ISA installation standards and, when done correctly, can keep a valued tree safe for decades.
ACE evaluates structural conditions as part of a full hazard assessment. If you have a tree that's been flagged as a concern or simply looks like it might be developing a problem, now is the right time to have it looked at before storm season accelerates.
