Saving Trees Worth Saving: Why Cabling and Bracing Works

Post Copy

Not every tree that looks like it might fail needs to come down. If you have a mature oak, pecan, or magnolia with structural issues, weak crotches, or damage from storms, cabling and bracing might save it. Our ISA Certified Arborist can assess whether your tree is a candidate and design a system to extend its life for decades.

Cabling works by supporting weak branches with high-strength cables and installing bracing rods in the main trunk to prevent splitting. Done right, it's invisible once the tree leafs out, and the tree continues providing shade, beauty, and value to your property. High-value trees, heirloom plantings, and trees with sentimental meaning are prime candidates.

If you're thinking about removing a tree because of structural concerns, get a second opinion first. Call ACE Tree Service for a free assessment. What's one tree on your property you'd really like to keep if it could be saved?

Image / Media Suggestion

Ideally an authentic job photo showing cabling and bracing installation on a tree, or a before/after showing a braced tree thriving post-treatment. Close-up detail of cabling system works well. If no installation photo available, a photo of a mature tree showing structural issues (weak crotch, multiple stems) that could be braced.
