Tree Cabling and Bracing: Saving Trees Worth Saving

Post Copy

Not every tree that has structural problems needs to come down. If a tree is otherwise healthy, has good growth, and means something to your property, cabling and bracing can extend its life by decades.

Tree cabling reinforces weak branch attachments and helps trees carry heavy lateral loads safely. Bracing stabilizes trees with included bark or co-dominant stems that are prone to splitting. These techniques require expertise to install correctly and monitor over time, which is why ISA certification matters.

ACE Tree Service evaluates each tree individually. Sometimes removal is the right call for safety. Sometimes preservation with structural support is the better choice. Our ISA Certified Arborist Adam Elliot helps you understand the options, the costs, and the long-term outlook for your trees.

Do you have older trees on your property that you'd like to preserve, or trees showing any signs of structural concern?

Image / Media Suggestion

Before/after photos showing a tree with visible structural issues (co-dominant stems, large lateral branches, lean) before cabling and the same tree stabilized afterward. Alternatively, a close-up of professional cabling work in progress. Authentic job photos showing the expertise strongly preferred.
