Where the Wood Goes After an ATL Tree Work Removal: Chipping, Hauling, and What You Can Keep

Post Copy

A mature tree removal can produce several truckloads of wood, and ATL Tree Work plans where all of it goes before work begins.

Branches and smaller limbs are typically chipped on site, shrinking a large brush pile into manageable chips for hauling. The trunk and larger logs are cut into sections and removed, and the yard is raked and cleaned so it looks better than when the crew arrived. Stumps can be ground below grade as a separate step when the area will be replanted or landscaped.

Some homeowners prefer to keep part of the tree, such as logs for firewood, chips for garden beds, or a trunk section for a project. Those requests are noted during the free walk-through and written into the scope of work so there are no surprises on removal day.

ATL Tree Work is family-owned, licensed and insured, and handles tree removal for homeowners and properties in Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Duluth, Lawrenceville, Snellville, and across North Metro Atlanta.
