One of the questions homeowners ask most often is: "Is this tree dangerous?" The honest answer is that it depends on a lot of factors — and anyone who gives you a fast answer without actually looking at the tree closely isn't giving you a complete picture.
When ATL Tree Work's certified arborists assess a tree, they're looking at several things together: the root zone for heave or decay, the trunk for cracks, cavities, or fungal growth at the base, the canopy for dead wood and structural imbalances, and the tree's proximity to your home, fence, or power lines. A tree that leans slightly isn't automatically a hazard. A tree with significant root decay next to your house is a different situation entirely.
The assessment comes first — before any recommendation, and before any quote. That's intentional. Homeowners deserve an honest evaluation, not a pitch. If a tree is manageable with pruning, that's what we'll say. If removal is the right call, we'll explain exactly why.
