Educational - How to Spot a Hazard Tree

Post Copy

You don't need to wait for a tree to fall to know it's dangerous. Hazard trees show warning signs early, and spotting them can prevent disaster.

Dead branches throughout the canopy, large cracks in the trunk, bark that's peeling away, and branches that overhang your home are all red flags. If a tree is leaning significantly or has hollow sections in the trunk, that's serious business too.

The good news: a certified arborist can assess the risk and recommend the safest solution, whether that's pruning or removal. Have you noticed any of these warning signs on your property?
